This first generation soccer-fashion-loving Italian has been involved in Retail Sales since 1984. He considered going pro after his soccer scholarship to Wisconsin, but decided to go into the game of business instead. Lucky us.
Retail is a game he loves to play and savors the win. He sees the store as a field and the sell, the ultimate goal. After only a few short years as a Sales Associate coming out of school, he was moved up into management and leadership development roles, where his showmanship could be put to good use.
Franco’s strength is training. He’s developed a reputation in retail as a dynamic teacher and trainer, inspiring sales teams to perform at levels far beyond their norm. Franco’s been invited to speak and present at seminars across the country involving sales training and performance. His passion for retail is contagious and his enthusiasm for the game of selling is results oriented. Su tutte le sue prestazioni!

Thank you for your interest in TMG's buzz.
SITUATION: Thriving bike shop that is generating profit but always “cash poor.” Owners want to progress to the next level and get finances under control for continued growth. The challenge was in finding management time to implement new systems for budgeting, open-to-buy, and other financial controls.
WHY TMG: TMG had the practical finance expertise at the retail level.
SOLUTION: TMG started by working closely to determine what BikeSport was currently doing on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as it related to financial and inventory planning. Mostly via phone and email TMG set up a budget, then a basic open-to-buy system, then a labor scheduling system (each time having BikeSport do some of the work so it could be transitioned).
RESULTS:
BikeSport no longer plans inventory by “walking the aisles” and is currently using historical, as well as, current information to more accurately plan for the future. Inventory handling is tighter, freeing up cash, allowing for much improved cash flow.

Online Assessment Tools
Successfully interacting with people is a key characteristic of a great leader. Effective interaction begins with a true assessment of ones own strengths and weaknesses. TMG offers a series of assessment tools to help you recognize and harness natural abilities, talents and skills in yourself and those on your team.
Managing for Success Reports - The "Managing for Success" reports are generated from individuals'
responses to various on-line instruments from TTI Performance Systems, Ltd. These reports will quantify information on how we perceive ourselves and others. Through personalized information, respondents have the opportunity to immediately increase their knowledge of themselves and others resulting in increased effectiveness and productivity.
Leadership Assessment - Leaders who influence others seek to be aware of the effect their style has on those they lead. Managers who commit to modify their communication style can enhance productivity and increase tenure in
their staff.
Sales people who learn about their selling style improve their closing percentage because customers prefer to do business with those they like. These reports identify the value you bring to the organization. It will identify how others see you when you are behaving naturally and when you are under extreme pressure-which is your non-verbal communication. You will receive tips for more effective communication and much more in your report.
Team Building Assessments - Building effective teams is made easier when you know the skills, attitudes and attributes of each member. We begin with proven assessment tools that produce usable profiles of your
team. We then help you develop the specific solutions for moving your team (and yourself!) to the next level. These assessments support our efforts to obtain tangible, measurable results within a short time. Give TMG a call. Without an investment on your part, TMG will be happy to assess your needs and suggest an approach for hiring staff and building an effective team.

Tony Tanner, Vice-President of the Details
Known in retail circles as a man that dots the Is and crosses the Ts, Tony’s 15 years of hands-on experience is in specialty, large-chain and fashion retail such as Cole Haan. He brings an unmatched level of style and attention to detail to TMG’s team. His eye for detail is impeccable and his photographic memory really comes in handy to our clients when he walks through their stores.
With a pension for really great coffee, he seems to never sleep. Whether it is creating a dynamic display, bringing home a sale to a customer, or running multiple stores, Tony brings an intense level of energy, and preparedness that nearly guarantees success. His ability to understand, implement and train others in the nuances of sales and leadership has made him extremely effective to our clients.
Having established a successful technology company with two other partners, outside of Washington, D.C., Cindy and family decided to leave the hustle and bustle, when the twins and the D.C. sniper
came along. Looking for a slower pace, they landed in Asheville.
The morning she woke up and wondered about goats, as pets, is the day she decided to get back to work. Too much relaxation, was just not her thing.
In 2006, she joined TMG. She brought her analytical business
focus and almost 20 years experience in business start-ups, telecommunications, and technology. Known as the “perfectionist of ca-ching”, she is clearly focused on our client’s growth. Her emphasis is on developing performance indicators that drive retail profitability.
She has had the unique experience of seeing the business world
from all angles - as an executive working for both large and small companies, as a successful business owner, and as consultant serving a number of industries. As a result, Cindy has the ability to “size-up” businesses models rapidly and assess the potential for profit. Ca-ching is in her blood.
Cindy Hamilton, Managing Partner
Dan began as a teacher. His goal? To create leaders. That same goal followed him to his next job at Bachrach, where he led the largest privately owned men’s clothing chain, to great success. Based on his 20+ years of business experience — rising within the ranks from Sales Associate to Vice President of Retail, Dan developed “Customer Communication” strategies, that enabled Bachrach to compete at a whole new level.
With a sense of accomplishment, he chose to leave his 7-to-10 job and spend more time with his two great loves, his kids and the outdoors. From hiking into the Grand Canyon and out the same day, to cycling the Olympic Mountain Bike Course, Dan’s his toughest competitor. After his third bicycle purchase (where he helped the kid in the shop sell him his bike), he realized that “Customer Communication” wasn’t just a clothing strategy. So in 2003, TMG was assembled, along with his brand-new Gary Fisher 29er.
His vision for TMG was still the same — create a company that inspires leaders. With a series of products like “Retail Improv”, the only results-based retail sales management program in the market today. TMG is a nationally known leader in helping retailers get results.
