Six Weeks Out: The Deadline You're Choosing to Ignore
Deadline is a strange word when you actually look at it. It comes from a literal line — in old prison camps, a boundary you couldn't cross without being shot. Nobody thinks about that history when they see one on a calendar. They just think: there's still time.
